Enjoy a fun evening of learning watercolor techniques and creating hand-painted valentines with your new skills. Designed to appeal to elementary age and up, we will explore the unique characteristics of watercolor and how to achieve different effects through masking, negative painting, layering, bleeding, color mixing, adding lines, etc. These are skills that can be used to explore other subjects beyond the workshop. Working with these effects, we will create 8 watercolor postcards to either take home or share.
In conjunction with Piper’s community project, there will also be opportunity to share your valentines with the Huntsville Hospital Pediatric Ward and the Tut Fann Veterans Home. You can share your workshop valentines to brighten someone’s day while returning home with the skills to create more, sharing the love even further! ❤️
Tea & pastry are included for each participant.
